Kneeling to Handstand
How To
The final stage of this drill is to move from a kneeling position through all the previous body positions, without stopping in any of them. That is key. Move in one fluid motion from kneeling, through a compressed pike, the tuck and then extend all the way to a straight handstand.
Maintaining the weight on the first knuckles of the hand from the setup to the handstand and returning back to the original setup position.
Tips
Maintain fluid motion
Focus on moving smoothly from the kneeling position, through the compressed pike and tuck, and into the handstand without stopping in any of the positions.
Weight distribution
Keep the weight on the first knuckles of your hands from the setup to the handstand and back to the original position. This will help with balance and stability.
Breathe
Maintain steady, deep breaths throughout the exercise to ensure proper oxygen flow to your muscles and help with overall stability.
Push through your shoulders
Apply pressure through your shoulders to create a strong and stable base for the handstand.
