Reclining Spinal Twist

How To
Use this pose to release tension along the spine.
- Lie down face up with knees bent towards your chest
- Inhale, lower your left leg down to the mat, then exhale, squeeze your right knee into your chest
- Inhale, bend your right hand at a 90 degree angle and place it your side, palm facing upward
- Exhale, gently guide your right knee across your body towards the mat
- Look to the right and relax into the pose
- Try to keep the shoulders flat on the mat
- Take a deep breath in, exhale, come back to center to repeat on the other side
Tips
Tip 1
Deepen the twist by using the breath: Inhale for length and let the exhalations happen naturally.
